What are the top three things you enjoy most about your job?
Generally I work from home and of course having Jonnie, this means that I can work ‘flexibly’. This certainly helps when it comes to school drop offs/collection and it definitely provides the work/lifestyle balance us working parents need at times. Working in such a creative outlet has enabled me to network with like-minded people and in turn, forge some great friendships. I truly love working with the brands that I have represented and worked with over the past few years and I love seeing new trends emerge.

What three things do you love most about your home?
Our home is a Victorian property and as a result, we have lovely high ceilings and large windows which means light floods in. We are also very lucky to have inherited a lot of original features including fireplaces in each room - bedrooms included. They provide such focal points in a room.

All the rooms are a good size too. We have decided to stay put for longer and are currently in the process of discussing plans to do a side return extension on the back of the property to enable us to have a larger family living/kitchen area. Luckily we have a good size garden so it will really enhance the way we live within the rear of the property.

 

Describe your own interior style
Simple, uncluttered pared back design which is light and airy whilst providing the feel of comfort through the addition of personal touches. I like to add little personal touches that can’t necessarily be replicated. I don’t follow trends on mass but I find just elements of trends can easily be added to a simply designed room.

What are your top 3 Instagram accounts to follow and why?
Interiors - @elisabeth_heier. Elisabeth is a blogger and interior stylist from Oslo. She focuses on interiors, design and travel and her aesthetic and styling is completely on point.

Lifestyle - @pieceofcake82. Deborah is a lifestyle blogger and I have followed her since I joined IG about 6 years ago. Her photography is outstanding and her home is such a source of inspiration.

Fashion - @stylememos – As well as interiors my next love is fashion closely followed by beauty and jewellery [I love a statement earring ;) ]. Alexis’s style is to die for and I love her beauty reviews. 

What’s been your greatest achievement so far?
Absolutely becoming a mum. I was told years ago I wouldn’t be able to have children naturally and following abandoned cycle after cycle of IVF, to go on and get pregnant ‘naturally’ and prove the consultants wrong,  is most certainly my greatest achievement. I’m very proud of my little ‘miracle’ boy and love to share our story in the hope that it provides others with hope.
